About Poynstown Sport Horses
From its base in Waterford Ireland, Poynstown Sport Horses is run by Robert & Paula Widger plus their 3 sons Sam, Colm, and Joe all of whom are keen pony riders. In the traditional Irish farm base in southeast Ireland they breed, produce & sell top quality sport horses for the world stage under the ‘Poynstown’ banner.
Since its establishment over 14 years ago Poynstown Sport Horses have been sold all over the world & can be seen at the very top of the sport. Robert’s aim is very simple – to source a horse that is suitable to the rider’s needs & one that has the potential to go to the top.
A family affair
Our son, Sam, qualified his 7 year old pony which he produced himself for 128 show jumping final at National Pony Championship RDS August 2021. He was winner of 128 Munster Final.
